I don't know if I should start with an introduction or apologies? So I decided to leave that question as something to open with and then proceed to do both. For those that have just stumbled onto this blog via happenstance or the fate of meandering around the Internet I must first say hello. Your keyboard has lead you, for better or worse, to an online account of the travels of Micah Cook, an African American, 20 something year old and recent college graduate. The young man, for reasons still mentally debated, has decided to relocate temporarily to Jinan, China. There are reasons don't get me wrong, It's not just an on the whim thing to decide to pack and travel to China. I had studied the language as an undergrad and was quite impressed with its extensive history and culture. However, a year long employment teaching English wasn't the first choice that I had in mind. Its like walking along and there is a four way stop..the map says you can get to your destination any way you take. I decided to take a left and I ran into China.
For those that do know me however I must offer a most humble of apologies. The first installment to this record has been forthcoming now for about two weeks and my contact with many family members and friends has dropped to record lows. The cracked screen of my Sprint phone reminds me that there is no service here.
I guess now after my address I should give a disclaimer. It seems like the professional thing to do don't you agree? ..
